Next the kids were taken to the dining room for a session of Long Sword. They all made up for their lack of skill with plenty of enthusiasm, and after several attempts, culminating in several ripped and bruised fingers, one or two successful locks were completed. At least Andy could now see who would be the best for his sword team.

Then off for one of the finest school meals any one had ever tasted. Very nice, very filling and plenty of it (how do those kids manage a second helping?). This must have been the first time any of them had encountered sweet salad - salad floating in a bowl of sugary water.

Before everyone left for a tour of the Old Town with Hannelore, Toddy and Mick tried to explain to Toddy's host, with great difficulty, that they had been invited to spend Tuesday afternoon on a farm.

"Farm? Was ist 'Farm'?", she asked, looking at her friend. "Oh ...er...er...MOO - MOO!!" The guffaws and laughter were followed by the inevitable: "Ach so! Die Englander Dummkopfs, ja, ja, ja!"

The guided tour around the town was quite pleasant. Then Hannelore made her big mistake, "Anyone want to go for a drink?" Our heroes needed no second bidding; they invaded the nearest cafe immediately.
