Next the kids were taken to the dining room for a session of Long Sword. They all made up for their lack of skill with plenty of enthusiasm, and after several attempts, culminating in several ripped and bruised fingers, one or two successful locks were completed. At least Andy could now see who would be the best for his sword team.
Then off for one of the finest school meals any one had ever tasted. Very nice, very
filling and plenty of it (how do those kids manage a second helping?). This must
have been the first time any of them had encountered sweet salad -
Before everyone left for a tour of the Old Town with Hannelore, Toddy and Mick tried to explain to Toddy's host, with great difficulty, that they had been invited to spend Tuesday afternoon on a farm.
